Classic Groove, in its brief history as a band, has developed into a diversified quintet that performs soft jazz, rhythm and blues, rock and roll and Middle-Eastern music.

The band features co-founder, Steven Tashjian, a Boston Conservatory graduate who has performed with his clarinet for over 45 years with many of the most notable and talented Middle-Eastern bands in the Greater Boston area; Stevens’s repertoire also includes performing with the Alto, Soprano and Tenor Saxophones.

The band also features co-founder, Kevin Magarian on lead and rhythm guitars, who has performed in rock, general business and Middle-Eastern bands during the past 35 years. Ashley Alexander, the band’s vocalist, is currently in her 4th year of study at Berklee College of Music.

Steve LaBonte’ who is featured on Drums and Vocals has played all over the New England area with various bands. He is widely known for his work with children’s music and his self produced CD, ‘The Heart Of A Child’.

McGregor McGehee on Bass is Classic Groove’s newest member and he can be seen playing with many bands all over New England
